Leste, Leist, a. and adv. Also: lest, leyst, list, lyst, liest, least(t, laist, laest. [ME. lest, (14th c.) leest, early least, north. (Cursor M.) leist, ME. also last, e.m.E. least, OE. lǽsest, lǽst.] Least. (Used as the superl. of Litill.)
